It appears from the video above that the French people know next to nothing about New Zealand wines. Shame on them. And you might think that people involved in the wine industry would be a little more knowledgeable. Incredible.
Well hopefully that all about to change because Sandihurst will shortly begin exporting some wine to France. No excuses now.

From recent experience it's not uncommon to find people that don't even know of NZ
It's just as if you would ask somebody in Germany about English Wines.
But I do wish you good luck in actually selling wine in France.
That will be a great achievement, because normaly they are very loyal to their products.
Pourquoi faire la connaisance avec des vins du monde? On fait les meilleures, c'est pourquoi on connait seulement des vins francais.

well i know the french are 'patriotic' to say the least - what do you think about germany, can they be open to nz riesling ?? i lived in the pfalz for a couple of years so i think they can. maybe the reverse situation is spatburgunder? is it a hard sell outside germany? it has huge potential of course, i've tried some really great ones.
